March 2, 1927 - September 13, 2018 Service Date: September 21, 2018 Funeral Services honoring Marian’s life will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 beginning with a prayer service at 11:15 a.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon at St. James Catholic Church, 5821 10th Avenue. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery. |

Marian F. Heinisch, age 91 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Born in Denison, IA on March 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Grace (O’Connor) Dieter. She was a graduate of Mt. St. Clare High School in Clinton, IA and she attended Dominican College in Racine. On September 8, 1951 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Eugene Heinisch. They were blessed with six children and 60 years of marriage. Sadly, Eugene preceded her in death on July 22, 2012. Marian was employed as a secretary with Bradford High School for 17 years, retiring in 1981. She was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church, St. James Christian Mothers Society and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Ladies Society. Marian was a dedicated volunteer at St. Joseph High School for over 20 years and she was inducted into the St. Joseph Athletic Hall of Fame in October, 2006. She was also a recipient of the St. Joseph Award. Marian enjoyed embroidery, golfing and traveling with her husband. She is survived by her loving children, Mary “Terri” (Michael) Grennier of Lannon, WI, Michael E. (Gail) Heinisch of Seattle, WA, Barbara Meier of Kenosha, Maureen (Andrew) Johnson of Clermont, IA, Dr. Edward J. (Louanne) Heinisch of Montgomery, IL and, John J. (Kimberly) Heinisch of Somers; eight grandchildren, Brian, Grace, Scott, Katie, Maddie, Peter, Cami, and Callan; and three great grandchildren, Annabelle, Amelia and Leah. In addition to her parents and husband, Eugene Heinisch, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Dieter and a sister, Jane Burns.
