LaVerne J. Zuehlsdorf

LaVerne J. Zuehlsdorf, age 94 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Angelsgrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI.

Born in Kenosha on October 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Anna (Johnson) Anthonsen.  She was a graduate from Mary D. Bradford High School.

On January 26, 1945 in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Francis Zuehlsdorf.  After 70 years of marriage, Francis preceded her in death on February 15, 2015.

LaVerne was employed with Kenosha Auto Transport as a receptionist.

She loved her faith and was blessed to be a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.  LaVerne was a member of the auxiliary to the American Postal Workers Union.  LaVerne selflessly volunteered her time helping with the Kenosha Soup Kitchen and Meals on Wheels.

LaVerne was a talented crafter and seamstress.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and furniture making.   LaVerne was blessed with the ability to cook and bake many family favorites.

She is survived by her son, Alan Zuehlsdorf; her daughter, Jan (Bill) Arneberg; her grandchildren, Scott Arneberg and Sara (Christopher) Kaiser; and her three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Francis, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
