Eva Maria Barca, age 100 of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Born on October 22, 1917 in Pedace, Province of Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Immacolata (Recchia) Barca. Eva attended schools in Italy and moved to Kenosha in 1961. For 25 years, Eva was employed in the food service department at Carthage College. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Eva’s heart was always filled with love of her family; The Hotchkiss’, The Faraca’s, and Remo Tanese. She treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children and they were her world. Eva enjoyed taking trips back to Italy, traveling with her family in the U.S., the Green Bay Packers and watching Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. Eva had a fun personality and quick wit. Up until the time of her death, Eva continued to cut coupons, shop, sip her afternoon coffee and scroll through Facebook. Eva will always be remembered by her sister, Irene (nee: Barca) Hotchkiss; and her many nieces and nephews, Kenneth (Joanne) Hotchkiss, Kelly (Frank) Andreoli, Keith (Gina) Hotchkiss, Kathy (Kurt) Sinclair, Karen (Jim) Coniker, Concetta Faraca, Giovanna (Robert) Beretti, Antonio Faraca, Mario Faraca and Remiggio (Annalisa) Tanese. Eva is further survived by her great nieces and nephews, Gretchen Bush, Anthony and David (Marie) Hotchkiss, Deanna (Jim) Rossi and Kimberly Hotchkiss; Nicholas (Rachel) and Krystina Andreoli; Matthew, Marissa and Michael Hotchkiss; Luke, Samantha and Kyle Sinclair; Sophia and Lorenzo Coniker; Cincia Balducci, Roberta, Daniella and Aldo Scarpelli; Paola and Roberto Beretti; and Maria Valentina and Alberto Tanese; and her great-great nieces and nephews, Frankie, Adrianna, Claire, Eva, Abigail, Dominic, Bennett, Emma, Lilliana and many more in Italy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rita Faraca, Maria Tanese and Aurora Barca; and her brothers-in-law, Walter Hotchkiss, Peter Faraca and Angelo Tanese. |
