On May 22, 2018, the sunset shined brilliantly as a very special Lady, Adeline E. (Mrs. Ronald) Keck, breathed her last breath on earth and her first breath in heaven. She was born on November 17, 1927, the caring daughter of Antoinette and Roberto Russo; a dedicated sister to: Rita Johnson, Carmella Rozelle, Olivia Cerminara, Gerald Russo, Robert Russo, JR., Alfred Russo, Dick Russo; loving wife for 59 years, to her soulmate Ronald, who called her “Hon” and remained, “until death do us part”… devoted mother to: Lawrence Keck, Kathleen Keck-Wayne and Jean Marie Russo; caring and loving grandmother to: Raymond (Shana Hoffman), Lauren Keck-Hamm (Troy) , Kristen Keck (Tim) , Heather Keck-Nelson (Paul) ; Steven & Alaina Wayne; Christopher and Katie Wayne , great-grandmother to Glenn, Warren and “baby” Hoffman; Mia Wayne; Elliott and Isaac Wayne; a compassionate and caring aunt; friend, advocate, wonderful cook, exceptional seamstress, a teacher at heart, and a beautiful graceful dancer. Adeline (“ADDIE”) was indeed always a Lady. Addie lived an exciting life. She was asked out and danced with Donald O’Connor and Don Amechie. Among her mentors were the women of her era, Eleanor Roosevelt, Donna Reed, Audry Hepburn. Eleanor’s quote: “you must do the things you think you cannot do…” served her well in life. She proudly recalled as a child, holding my grandmother’s hand when the train went by as Eleanor passed through the town when paying tribute to her husband when he passed. She admired her grace and strength. She was able to stand-up to her father and declined the arranged marriage made for her in Italy. It is understood now where Addie got her determination and strength, as she was always one to step up for what was right, to be the one to assist and show compassion and care for the needy and the sick. Retired from Chrysler (American Motors) and worked at LeBlanc for 14 years. She was a devout Catholic and member of the Magnificat and the Catholic Women’s Club, the North American Benefit Association and the Women’s Society. She indeed loved our Lord dearly. Bye for now, mom. Until we meet again… A special thank you to all her physicians, Dr. Mario Garretto, Dr. Ranieri, Dr. Judi TJoe, to Father McDermott of Our Lady of the Mount Carmel; the Hospice House Angels and all the medical care at St. Anne Rest Home, and the various care centers, and the staff throughout the years at Freodert Southeast Wisconsin. |
