Born on October 21, 1970, in Helectern, Belgium, he was the son of Oliver Whetstone and Marita (Branson) Witcher.
A resident of Kenosha since 1972, he attended Curtis Strange and St. Therese Elementary Schools and graduated from Tremper High School.
Bill worked in the motor transport industry as a local operator for many years.
On September 5, 1998, he married Julie L. Wood in Kenosha, where they had their daughters Payton A. Whetstone, and Mackenzie E. Whetstone.
Bill was a jack of all trades, he was a practical joker who loved drawing, assembling and detailing model vehicles, participation in Civil War reenactments, house remodeling, playing pool, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his daughters, who were his everything, Payton and Mackenzie Whetstone; his parents, Oliver Whetstone and Marita Witcher; his siblings, Patricia (Mark) Ludwig, Michael Whetstone, and James (Susan) Whetstone; his grandmother, Barbara Whetstone, and his grandfather, William Branson.
Bill was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. O. Whetstone; his grandmother, Elisabetha Branson, and by his brother, Robert A. Whetstone.
Funeral services honoring William’s life were held privately on March 9, 2021 at St. James Church in Kenosha, WI.
