Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintWilliam H. Campbell, age 81 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, June 1, 2015, surrounded by loving family.
Born in Greeley, CO on January 26, 1934, he was the son of the late Louis E. and Helen E. (Coffman) Campbell.
From August 16, 1956 until December 9, 1957, he honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. He proudly received the Good Conduct Medal. Following his military service, he moved to the Kenosha area.
On December 17, 1960 in the Wisconsin Dells he was united in marriage to the lovely Patricia A. O’Brien. They were blessed with four children and 54 years of marriage.
For 41 years, Bill worked in various positions with AMC/Chrysler Corporation. He retired as a machinist in 2000.
He was a member of U.A.W. Local #72 Retirees and American Legion David Leet Post #552. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid collector of all things. He loved tinkering in his garage and conversing with anyone who would listen.
He made a lasting impression with his unconditional love and devotion to his family. Bill thoroughly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was thrilled to be able to see many of their accomplishments.
Bill will always be remembered as a wonderful man who left many he knew rich in loving memories.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; his three children, Donald Campbell of Adams, WI, Diana (David) Haugh and John (Franki Carlson) Campbell both of Kenosha; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; his three brothers, Larry (Stella), James (Barbara) and Danny (Linda) Campbell; his four sisters, Patsy (Dale) Boyer, Mary (Don) Breedlove, Kathy Pittman and Brenda (John) Lackey; and his dear friend and buddy, Don (Carol) Downing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ron Campbell; and his brother, Ray Campbell.
Service Date June 8, 2015
A Memorial Service in celebration of Bill’s life with full military honors following will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave.,Kenohsa, WI. Private inurnment will take place in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Lyndon Station.
