Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintWayne R. Larsen, age 77 of Kenosha passed through the doorway to Heaven on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Hospice Alliance’s Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on September 27, 1938 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Earl and Martha Hila (Hudnall) Larsen. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
He retired as director of sales with Alps Wire Rope Company. Previously, Wayne was employed in engineering with AMC Corporation, was co-owner of Robert-Wayne School of Music, and was in sales with MacWhyte Wire Rope Company.
Wayne enjoyed the outdoors, flower gardening, working with The Shalom Center and going to estate and rummage sales. He was very talented and could fix just about anything. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren. Wayne proudly attended their many sporting, music and theater events.
He is survived by his two children, Jeff (Nikkie) Larsen and Cindy (Todd) Willer; his loving grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Larsen, and Becca and Josh Willer; his sister, Jourene (Alan) Frederick; and his special friend, Judy Sommers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Larsen.
Service Date August 18, 2016
Funeral Services honoring Wayne’s life will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1803 83rd Street. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.
