One of my absolute favorite WWII Veterans at the American Heroes Café was Walt. I usually teased him by calling him Whittaker Walt, the character played by Carl Reiner in "The Russians are Coming The Russians are Coming". Walt always had a good story to tell and never came to the Café without a smile. What a true hero he was in many lives! My heartfelt condolences to the family of this wonderful man.
