Born in Chippewa Falls on March 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Bertha (Zillyett) Witt. In 1953 she made Kenosha her home.
On October 1, 1955 she was united in marriage to Herbert Jantz; together they raised four children. Sadly, Herbert passed away on April 13, 1991.
Violetta had the nickname “Happy” because of her disposition even when times were tough- she never complained. She was quick to make friends and adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing with her sisters, sewing, gardening, traveling, racing, listening to country music and working at Tim and Tom’s Cheese Shop.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane Reid, Deborah Marshall, Herbert (Jeanine) Jantz and Alan (Candi)Jantz; 8 adored grandchildren; 2 great- grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Stark and many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Herbert; Violetta was preceded in death by her siblings, Lawrence Witt, Leon Witt, Bernice Wenzel, Beatrice Anderson, Irene Greene, Raymond Witt, Robert Witt and O’detta Hickey.
Violetta’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James Santarelli and staff for the care they provided.
