Vincent M. Belotti, age 74, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at United Hospital System- Kenosha Medical Center Campus, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on July 17, 1940 in Kenosha, he was son of the late Ralph and Helen (Spizzirri) Belotti. He attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford.

It was at Bradford where he met the love of his life, Patricia A. Heinzman. After one year of dating, they were married on January 23, 1960 at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. The marriage was filled with many blessings including three children, seven grandchildren, two step- grandchildren, and an active and hardworking life together for 55 years.

Vince worked as a Senior Process Manufacturing Engineer at J.I. Case, Webster Electric, and Jacobsen Textron, retiring in 2001. That same year he began a new career as a pharmacy tech at St. Mary’s/St. Luke’s Hospital, from 2001-2005.

He was a member of both Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Churches. Vince and his wife, Pat, lived their life side-by-side putting God and family first.

Vince was a talented musician and singer who started accordion lessons at ten years old, inspired by Dick Contino, and began to teach and play music professionally by age 16. A lifelong member of the American Federation of Musicians, he performed in many groups including the Mike Sacco Trio, The Standels, The Continentals, B.B. and the Bandits, Main Attraction, Shout – the latter two with sons Tom and Dave — and a duo with his son Dave called Side by Side. The legacy of music carried on in his children and grandchildren as they performed in bands where he could be found in the audience singing along, often videotaping, with pride and joy in their music.

With his love of sports, he coached many young teams in CYO and CYC football and basketball -leading them to many championships and was once named coach of the year. One perfect season saw his CYC senior Packers go undefeated and unscored upon. Because he and his wife were a team in all they did, CYC awarded them with “Family of the Year” in 1979. Then as the grandchildren began their sports and theatre careers he would never miss a practice or game. He was ALWAYS there!

Vince bowled at Guttormsen’s — as part of a championship team in 1989 — and was a Cubs fanatic and an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks fan. He also enjoyed playing chess, music, and video games with the grandkids.

He defined multi-tasking as he worked, coached, played music and watched sports. He will be remembered as a great father who was always there for his kids and grandkids. Vince and his wife, Pat, lived their lives vicariously through their children and grandchildren.

Vince will be forever in the hearts of his wife, Pat; his children, Dr. David R. (Mary) Belotti, Thomas V. (Cassandra) Belotti, and Linda ( Jeff) Churchwell; grandchildren, Joseph “Joey”, John “Johnny”, Robert “Robby”, Isabella “Bella”, Jacob “Jake”, Daniel “Danny” and Vincent “Vinny”,  and his step- grandchildren, Jonathon and Sarah, along with his sister Vivian “Vicki” (Lee) Bodoh, nephew Jeff (Desiree) Bromstad, and nieces Krissy Hassler, Wendy ( Rob) Cross and Jennifer (Sheldon) Goff.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his in laws, Helen and Walter Heinzman and brother & sister in law, Roger and Kathy Heinzman.

Service Date July 10, 2015

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 beginning with a prayer service at 11:15 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54h Street. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery.
