A loving father of two wonderful daughters passed away surrounded by family and friends at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie. Tim fought the hardest he ever has during his last month on earth.
Tim is survived by his loving mother, Eva (LeMay) Niesen; his daughters, Heidi and Hannah (Bailey) Niesen; sister, Tami (Brian) Kilmer; girlfriend, Judy Lininger; nephews, Scott Niesen, Steven and Jeffrey Buchanan; nieces, Jennifer Kilmer and Jessica (Nick) Kilmer-Bebeau; K9 “Z” and many relatives and friends.
Tim was born in Kenosha on June 20, 1965, to Floyd and Eva Niesen. He graduated with honors from Gateway Technical College with a degree in Mechanical Design. Tim held various jobs as a construction worker, laborer and carpenter in the trades. Tim’s work ethic was unmatched and he took pride passing this amazing quality onto his two beautiful daughters. There was nothing Tim couldn’t build or fix.
Tim worked in various departments within the City of Kenosha including Streets and Water. He retired due to medical reasons from Kenosha Water Utility. Tim was selflessly devoted to his daughters, his love and pride for his girls was seen and felt by everyone he knew. Tim’s greatest joy in his life was watching his daughters grow and succeed. Tim lived for Heidi and Hannah who will continue to honor and miss him even in his absence.
Tim loved all things racing, he grew up on dirt bikes and then began racing drag bikes and cruising around on his Harleys. Tim wanted to be the fastest guy at the track all the while staying humble and grounded. Tim was forever grateful for everyone who helped him race but had an extra spot in his heart for his buddies, Mike Sarauer and Josh Bixler. Tim enjoyed fishing and met lifetime friends when he was in the Bassturds Fishing Club. Tim loved his German Shepherds and deeply missed his dogs who went before him, Animal, Pete and Zeus.
Tim’s life wasn’t always easy, but he never gave up. When he loved, he loved forever.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Niesen; sister, Tina Buchanan; brother-in-law, Jeff Buchanan; Terri Nichols and numerous friends and relatives.
Tim’s legacy of kindness extends beyond his lifetime, as he chose to be a donor, bringing hope to others in their time of need. Tim’s physical pain on this earth has ceased and heaven gained an angel to watch over and guide us. We pray Tim has gone to be with those who have gone before him, as we knew how deeply he missed them. Love each other each and every day as if it’s the last…in the end all we have is each other.
