Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintThomas Andrew McNabb, Jr, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek. Born in Kansas City, KS on June 16, 1930, to Thomas and Alta (Moore) McNabb Sr. Tom graduated from Vallejo High School before meeting his future wife. He and Marilyn (nee:Sublisky) married at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on April 14, 1951 and had five wonderful children.
Tom dedicated four years of his life to the service of his country during the Korean War, reaching the rank of E5 in the United States Navy before honorable discharge on June 10, 1952.
After his military service, Tom pursued an education, earning an Associate’s Degree and went on to work for United Airlines, retiring as a Customer Service Supervisor in 1986. Known for his dedication to his family and strong work ethic, he leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and service.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Marilyn of 73 years, his children Thomas III (Chris), Scott (Edna), Richard (Carolyn), and Susan (Frank) Janowitsch; his grandchildren, Tommy McNabb IV, Steve McNabb, Laurie Krajewski, Stephanie Cobin, Scotty McNabb Jr., Melissa Harris, Andrew Zgola, Michael Janowitsch, Daniel McNabb, Ricky McNabb and Jenny Hoerl, Michelle Newbury and Tiffany Newbury and 15 great grandchildren. His memory will be fondly cherished by all who knew him.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Alta McNabb, Sr.; daughter, Kathy Newbury and sister, Wanda (James) Jones.
Service Date October 5, 2024
SERVICE LOCATION St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church
Memorial services honoring Thomas’ life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 5100 22nd Ave., followed by full military honors.
The service may be viewed via livestream on the following link facebook.com/PiaseckiFuneralHome/live/. You do not need Facebook to watch.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.
