Born in Kenosha on October 5, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Sonia (Innocenti) Conforti. She attended local schools and received her degree in data processing at Gateway Technical College.
In 1970, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to John J. Maloney. Their union was later dissolved.
Shirley was a dedicated stay at home mother for many years. Later, she was employed as a cashier at Pick N Save until her retirement.
Arts and crafts were Shirley’s favorite hobby. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the library.
She will be dearly missed by her two children, Lori (Peter) Kurz and John Maloney; grandchildren, Peter, Christina and Natalia Kurz; brother, Ronald (Kathy) Conforti, sister, Linda Lia; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Shirley’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Care-A-Van staff for their past services.
Service Date October 13, 2017
Funeral Services honoring Shirley’s life will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 2224 30th Avenue. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.
