Shirley A. Vergenz, age 84 of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at her residence with loving family by her side.

Born in Watertown, WI on February 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Schroeder) Boltz.  She was a 1954 graduate of Watertown High School and she received her Nursing Degree from Gateway Technical College.

On July 30, 1954 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown, she was united in marriage to Russell Vergenz.  They were blessed with 40 years of marriage.  Sadly, he preceded her in death in 1994.

She was a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenosha.

Shirley was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who was immensely proud of her family.    She was a very independent lady who enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, traveling, fishing and going out to dinner with family and friends.  She looked forward to family get-togethers and Christmas Eve Parties.  Shirley leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

She is survived by her children, Faye Curtis of Flint, MI, Curtiss (Jill) Vergenz of Kenosha, Brian (Sue) Vergenz of Kenosha, Nancy (Keith) Moilanen of Kenosha and Amy (Michael) Horne of Clovis, CA; her eight grandchildren, Crystal, Becky, Sarah, Rachel, Matthew, Dylan, Connor and Megan; and two great grandchildren, Kyle and Zachery and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Russell, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Lynn and her siblings, Edward Boltz, Raymond Boltz, Lorraine Kuckkan, Marion Lange, Florence Glasnap, Helen Lindemann and Dorothy Boltz.
