Born on July 25th, 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Frank and Linda (Sneed) O’Neal. He grew up in Seymour where he obtained his high school diploma.
Shannon had a great love for fishing, camping and everything Kentucky Wildcats. (If you know, you KNOW.) He absolutely adored his wife and lived for taking her out to dinner and surprising her with so many fun vacations. He was a kind and generous man, so selfless and honorable, always putting his family and friends before himself. His raw sense of humor will be sorely missed…
He is survived by his loving wife Mary; his step-children, Deeni (Dan) Sobotta, Chris (Rob) Olson, Julie (Arturo) Perez, Rob (Dayna) Olson, Kathy (Bernard) Olson, and their families (including 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren- which he treated with love as his own. He is further survived by his sister, Rhonda O’Neal; his brothers, Jason (Melanie) O’Neal and Daniel (Jennifer) O’Neal, and 8 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Linda O’Neal; his brother, Frank “Wayne” O’Neal, and his brother-in-law, Joel O’Neal.
Service Date December 8, 2021
Funeral services honoring Shannon’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
A visitation for Shannon will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
