Born in Racine on September 30, 1925, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Churmney) Bobeck. He graduated from Park High School in 1944.
On May 25, 1957, he was married to Anna M. Wilson. She preceded him in death in 2011.
For 32 years, Sam was employed with AMC retiring in 1978, after 32 years of service. After his retirement, he was employed part time as a guard for Pinkerton Security Company.
He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #72 Retirees, the Eagles Aerie #1055 – in Kenosha, and the former Kenasha Club.
He was an avid sports enthusiast and cheered for the Brewers, the Bears and Northwestern.
Sam is survived by his daughter-in-law, Julie Bobeck; his grandchildren, Cheryal (Stan) Keisler, Joseph G. Larsen, Jr., Todd-Michael Larsen, Ann Marie (Millie) Acosta-Larsen, Joseph Larsen, III, David (Kathy) Bobeck, Scott (Kathy) Bobeck, Kristen (James) Nauman and Brian (Kathy) Bobeck; and his great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna on May 16, 2011; his son, David Bobeck on February 1, 1992; his brothers, Joseph and John Bobeck; his sister, Johana Scheble; his sister-in-law, Connie Bobeck and a step-daughter, Donna Lee McCoy.
Service Date October 24, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Sam’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. A Rite of Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of All Saints Mausoleum.
