She was born on February 3, 1939 in Kenosha. Ruth attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Norville. Their marriage was later dissolved.
Ruth began her nursing career in 1964 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed at Kenosha Memorial Hospital and eventually took a position at Brookside Care Center. Ruth was elected as the Director of the LPN Association. To further her career, Ruth attended an accelerated nursing program and became a Registered Nurse. Her brief employment with Hospice Alliance, Inc. was one of her most rewarding jobs. She was also employed at the Bristol Renaissance Fair.
Ruth loved gardening and was a master gardener. She was a talented crafter and liked to knit and crochet. Ruth was an avid collector of antiques and especially had a passion for depression glass.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Wayne) Schoen; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Veronica Gerlach, Mark Christopher Norville, Raquel Mokus as an infant and David Norville; and her former spouse, Ronald Norville.
Service Date October 14, 2018
A Memorial Service honoring Ruth’s life will be held Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue.
