Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintOn December 15, 1956, Ruthie Ann Hodges, fourth of eleven children, born to the union of Ruben and Lula Mae (Floyd) Hodges in Duncan, Mississippi.
She received Christ at an early age in Mississippi. She was an Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, sang in the choir and worked on the usher board in Mississippi.
Ruth moved to Kenosha in 1975 and join Friendship Baptist Church where she worked in the office area for the ministry. In 2000, Ruth joined Holy Redeemer Institutional Church under the leadership of Bishop Sedgwick Daniels and remained until transition.
Ruth received her early education in the Mississippi school system. She received an Accounting Certificate from Gateway Technical College in Kenosha. Ruth also received her BA degree from Carthage College and an Associate degree in Nursing from MATC in Milwaukee, WI.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Lula Mae Hodges.
Ruth leaves to cherish memories, her children, Derrick (Brandy) Hodges of Milwaukee, WI, Harice (Anne) Hodges and Shatocka Hodges both of Kenosha, WI; her sisters and her brothers, Mary Foster and Shirley Gipson of Kenosha, WI, Johnnie Mae (Leroy) Cotton, Yvonne (JD) Herron, Isah (Nelda) Hodges, Mary Linda (Lee Ivory) Dukes, Annie Bowen, and Laquicia Hodges all of Cleveland, MS, Darrin Hodges of Fayetteville, NC and Fredrick Hodges of Hattiesburg, MS. Ruth is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, along with a host of cousins , nieces and nephews.

A Home going celebration for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Piasecki Funeral Home 3720 39th Avenue. The celebration may be viewed via livestream on the following link facebook.com/PiaseckiFuneralHome/live/. You do not need Facebook to watch.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The visitation may also be viewed via livestream on the above mentioned link.
