She was born on April 3, 1937, Ruth was the daughter of the late Eugene and Buelah (Yaeger) Vaughn. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.
In her younger years, Ruth loved knitting, crocheting and all sorts of crafts. She enjoyed taking time to try and teach others. She made Halloween costumes for her children, and mittens, scarves, afghans, and quilts that she gave as gifts. Ruth had a green thumb, she loved to work in her yard and grew beautiful flowers. While living in Michigamme, she won a contest for the most improved and beautiful yard, she was very proud of that accomplishment. She had a huge collection of frog figurines which were her favorite and collected bells. You would often find Ruth, sitting in her recliner for hours playing her favorite game of solitaire on her iPad.
She is survived by her children, Debra Perry, Lyle (Melinda) Perry, Eugene (Debbie) Perry, James Terwall; her grandchildren, Dyllon Perry Gunsolus, Adinah Pollack, Rachel Perry, Abel Hurtado, Adrian Perry, Darcy Perry and Jared Perry; her great grandchildren, Connor Pollack, Aiden Leggett, Lyla Grace Perry and Anabella Perry; her sister, Sharon Macia; her brother, George (Jean) Vaughn, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, James (Karen) Vaughn, Gerald Vaughn, Charles Vaughn, John (June) Vaughn and Harold (Mary) Vaughn; her sisters, Ora Moeller, Catherine Eschbach, Karen Lovelady, Mary Vaughn and Marilynne Trobee.
Service Date September 3, 2020
Funeral services honoring Ruth’s life will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Mt Zion Lutheran Church, 5927 37th Avenue.
Private inurnment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A gathering of relatives and friends will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, those in attendance are required to wear a face covering. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
