Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintRudolph S. “Rudy” Istvanek, age 87 of Kenosha, died on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Born in Kenosha on June 30, 1927, he was the son of the late Mathias and Sarah (Koretz) Istvanek.
Rudy proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps until his honorable discharge in 1954.
On September 13, 1958 at St. Casimir Church in Milwaukee, WI, he was united in marriage to Jeannine Geason. Their union was blessed with 56 years of marriage and two children; a beautiful daughter and a handsome son.
For many years Rudy was employed with Simmons Company.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, swimming and gambling and had an extensive wooden golf club collection.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Jeannine Istvanek; his daughter, Charlene A. Willems of Victorville, CA; his sister, Lillian Geb of Kenosha; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randolph Scott Istvanek; and a brother, Mathias Istvanek.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. George Cemetery.
