Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintRoy W. Symonds, age 88 of Kenosha, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at United Hospital System – Kenosha Hospital Campus.
Born on January 20, 1928 in Waltham, MA, he was the son of the late William R. and Margaret (Bass) Symonds. As a young boy, in 1936, he moved to Kenosha with his family.
Roy honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy during the World War II.
For 30 years, he was employed in final assembly with AMC/Chrysler Corporation as a vehicle loader where he enjoyed competing with his fellow Teamster brothers.
Besides being a member of the U.A.W. Local #72 Retirees, he was also a member of the Harley Owners Group. Roy enjoyed riding bicycles, motorcycles, skiing and weightlifting.
He is survived by his daughter, Marlene Cordero; his son, William Symonds; five grandchildren, Sara, Beth, Kimberly, Richard, Daniel; and ten great grandchildren, John, Nick, Erin, KJ, James, Alex, Hayden, Bella, Bentley and Liberty.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard and a brother, Donald Symonds.
Service Date September 26, 2016
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of All Saints Mausoleum, 3300 Springbrook Rd., Pleasant Prairie. Entombment with full military honors will follow.
