My sister, Trisha and I along with our family were deeply saddened to learn of the untimely passing of our step-brother, Ron. His perseverance and pursuit led to our resurrected sibling relationship; one that we knew nothing about except until the past recent years of his life. For this, we are forever grateful. We send our heartfelt condolences to Ron's family and wish them great comfort and peace at this most difficult time. Although we were not in each other's lives for as long as we would have liked, from the moment we met, what immediately shone through was Ron's warmth, kindness and gentle spirit. Along with this, we discovered in him a deeply ingrained love and passion for space and science. Our conversations always revealed an insatiable appetite for knowledge and curiosity. To honor our memories of Ron, along with flowers, the Pitsch family has made a donation to a non-profit organization called Higher Orbits whose mission is to inspire and engage young students in the curiosity and love of space and science though spaceflight in hands-on project based learning experiences. It is our wish that in Ron's name, our donation will have a direct impact on future generations in a subject that he held so dear. Warmly, Trisha, Jamie, Vicky, Marisa Pitsch and daughter Milena.

I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Witt was always so nice and funny. He always made me feel welcome when I would come over or have a sleepover with Vanessa (Hi, Vanessa). It has been many years since I have seen your family. Wow! His accomplishments are fantastic. You don't think about that stuff as a kid. So many great memories!! I am thinking of you all.

To the Witt family, So sorry for your loss. I used to see Ron at the fitness center. Unfortunately, Covid put an end to that and I haven't seen him since 2019. He was a great guy!
