Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintRoger L. Falcon, age 74 of Pleasant Prairie, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the University of Florida- Gainesville Health Shands Hospital.
Roger was born in Kenosha on March 21, 1943 to the late Harley L. and Doris V. (Bain) Falcon. He was a 1960 graduate of Salem Central High School. On January 14, 1967 he was united in marriage to Betty Riesselmann at Holy Name Catholic Church in Wilmot.
Along with his father, Roger operated Falcon Mink Farm for over 30 years. After retiring from the family business in 1993, he was employed with Abbott Labs until his retirement in 2013.
Roger was a former member of St. Therese Catholic Church, and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. He was a longtime member of Kenosha Rotary West, Unity Lodge #367, Kenosha Shrine Club, and Tripoli Temple. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #286.
Roger lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, dartball, playing cards, and shooting pool. He and Betty loved to travel and in recent years, spending the winter months at their home in Florida. He was most proud of coaching his daughters’ St. Therese basketball teams and was one to brag about winning championships, which he fondly remembered. Roger loved to spend time with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports, whether the games were local or out of state. He also enjoyed having family and friends over for summer gatherings, 4th of July parties or just being surrounded by others while at the Falcon Compound having a good time.
Roger will be dearly missed by his wife, Betty; daughters, Julie (Ron) Schuler and Doreen (Jon) Shaffer; and grandchildren, Pete, Jake, and Ellie Schuler.
Service Date April 29, 2017
Funeral services honoring Roger’s life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church ,1300 73rd Street, Kenosha, WI. Private Entombment will be held in All Saints Mausoleum.
