Born in Tecumseh, NE on December 30, 1937, Robert was the son of the late Irvin and Selma (Beckmann) Schleip. He graduated from Auburn High School.
Robert proudly served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman 1st Class HM 1 (E-6).
On March 3, 1962, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kenosha, WI, Robert was united in marriage to Patricia Wojciechowski. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Robert was employed as a Product Maker, at SC Johnson & Sons from 1967 until his retirement in 1996.
He belonged to the VFW. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, watching sports and Nebraska football.
Robert will be greatly missed by his wife, Patricia and his son, Jason (Amy Hanifl); his grandchildren, Braden and Kelsey Schleip; and his sister, Patricia Behrends.
Along with his parents, Irvin and Selma, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, David Schleip; his mother-in-law, Stephanie Osika and father-in-law, John Wojciechowski.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Kreager and Dr. Yousuf Karama for providing special care for Robert.

SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home
Memorial services with full military honors honoring Robert’s will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha. WI.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to St. Jude Children’s Hospital http://www.stjude.org would be appreciated.
