Born on December 30, 1928, in Racine, WI, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Marcia (Bowers) Lichter. He was raised and educated in Kenosha, attending St. George Catholic Grade School.
On September 25, 1948, Bob was united in marriage to Marjorie Feest at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. They were blessed with five children and 63 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on April 30, 2012. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
As a boy, Bob worked on his father’s farm in Somers. He was last employed with the Kenosha County Highway Department for 29 years, retiring in 1991.
With a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, Bob would tell stories to anyone standing still. He enjoyed dancing, golf, mowing lawns and breakfast with friends.
Bob will be deeply missed by his five children, Richard (Susanne) Lichter, Kenneth (Ruth) Lichter, Charlene (Vince) Anevicius, Roger (Kari) Lichter, and Kathy Lichter; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Urban Lichter, and a sister, Genevieve Mohr.

Service Date July 10, 2014
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224 30th Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at church for Mass. Entombment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
