Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintRobert J. “Bob” Vidas, age 89 of Bristol, died on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Brookside Care and Rehab Center.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on May 6, 1928; the son of the late, George John and Elizabeth May (Toth) Vidas.
In November of 1973, Bob was united in marriage to Lorna “Lori” (Britten) Sorenson at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church. Sadly, Lori passed away on January 20, 2018.
Bob proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He owned and operated his own construction company for 60 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Paula (Chuck) Edson, Dan (Sandy) Vidas and Mark (Tracie) Vidas; grandchildren, Lindsey and Eric Edson, Tyler and Morgan Vidas and Shelly Eric and Laura Vidas; a sister, Dorothy Villard along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Ed Vidas, Al Vidas, Margarite Drews, Helen Dahlgren, Francis Vidas and Paul Vidas.
Service Date January 25, 2018
Memorial Services honoring both Bob and Lori will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, 2001 80th Street. Private inurnment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
