Born on July 17, 1931, he was the son of the late Robert and Florence (Jensen) Pringle, Sr. He was a graduate of Wilmot High School and attended Farm Short Course at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955-57.
On August 17, 1957, he was united in marriage to Julia Lewandowski. Their union was blessed with 65 years of marriage and five children.
Robert was self-employed as a dairy farmer for over 40 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and served on the church board. He was on the Kenosha Farm Bureau Board of Directors and was a member of the UW Farm Short Course Alumni Association. He was on the Bristol Consolidated School Board for many years. He was on the South Bristol Cemetery Board of Directors and on the Pringle Nature Center Board. In his youth, he was a member of the Bristol Challenge 4H Club and then later, as an adult, was a leader for the 4H tractor project. In 1985, Robert was honored as the Bristol Outstanding Citizen during the Bristol Progress Days celebration.
In his spare time, Robert enjoyed singing with the New Image Barbershop Chorus and he enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with neighborhood friends.
He was many things to many people, a son, loving husband and father, a supportive brother, uncle, caring grandfather, a dear friend and kind neighbor. Robert will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Julia A. Pringle; his children, Steven (Odette) Pringle, Benjamin (Genevieve) Pringle and Betty (Aaron) Pringle Burkhalter; his grandchildren, William, Elizabeth, Raquel and Rebecca; his brother-in-law, Dale Sternhagen and sisters-in-law Marti King-Pringle and Barbara Pringle.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence Pringle, Sr.; his infant twin sons, James Robert and John David Pringle and his siblings, William (Leota) Pringle, Amy (Harvey) Jones, Donald Pringle, Roy Pringle, Marian (Finn) Nilsen and Judith Sternhagen.

Funeral services honoring Robert’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 10239 136th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
Interment will follow in South Bristol Cemetery.
A visitation for Robert will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
