Born in Eau Claire, WI on August 26, 1945, to Robert and Minnie (Hedding) Bell, he grew up in Humbird, WI and graduated from Alma Center High School.
He proudly served is country in the United States Air Force.
On April 29, 1967, he was united in marriage to Carol Scholten in Lake Wilson, MN. Their union was blessed with three children, Denise, Wendy and Doug, all of Kenosha.
Robert was a Packer fan, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a bowler for many years. In his spare time, he loved going to estate sales, training with his beloved golden retrievers, and was a member of WISILL Dog Club. His family and friends truly enjoyed his cooking as well, especially his strawberry shortcake made with fresh strawberries from his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Denise (Anthony Kennedy) Bell, Wendy Gauss, and Doug (Sherri Marshman) Bell; his sister, Bonnie Wilbur of Ripon, WI; his brother, Kenny (Debbie) Bell of Humbird, WI; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Thom Wilbur
Service Date January 25, 2025
A Celebration of Life with full military honors for Robert will be held on January 25, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Fireside Lounge, 2801 30th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
Inurnment will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025 in Humbird, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert’s name may be sent to the Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, 1624 Yout St, Racine, WI 53404, https://vowvillages.com/donate-vow are appreciated by the family.
