I will always remember Dick as one of my Royal Ranger leaders at Lakeshore Tabernacle growing up without a father, especially at events that called for dads to be involved. Dick took me under his wing often and helped my brothers and I with things like our Pinewood Derby cars. He was my favorite leader as a kid because of his sense of humor and gentle demeanor towards us when other leaders tended to be harder on us. Later in life when I took a bride as a new believer, Dick and Babette were supportive and encouraging. Though we moved away from them and have lost touch, it breaks our hearts to hear of his passing, but we know his eternal destiny and pray peace and comfort for Babette and the rest of the family back home. "When we all get to heaven..."

Babette and family, sending love and hugs to all of you during this difficult time. When we were able to get together at Kenosha family times, Dick was always so kind and much fun to around. He was such a kind man and talked about the love of his family when ever we chatted.
