Born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 30, 1920, he was the son of the late Jesse Guy and Alta Jean (Summitt) Loving.
He proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II.
On January 6, 1942, in Fairfield, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Mary Helen O’Neill. Together they raised their six children and shared in 73 loving years of marriage; making Kenosha their home in January of 2014.
Philip was employed as the station manager with Trailways Bus Company in Burlington, IA and with Greyhound in Waukegan, IL. After 25 years of service, Philip retired in 1983.
