I remember Phil from our St. Peter's Men's Group. He was often a participant and offered interesting perspectives into our discussions. We have many good conversations also. At St. Peters we have an annual Mass to celebrate significant wedding anniversies during that year. (50, 55, 60, etc.) One year I was the lector at that Mass and had a good view of all those celebrating their anniverseries. I specifically remember how Phil and Marourneen looked at each other as they repeated their wedding vows. The expressions on their faces at that time showed how much they were in love with each other. I will never forget that. Rest n peace, Phil. You will be and are, missed.

12.21.23 ??? The world lost a resilient fighter; Heaven gained a truly extraordinary soul. You will be so missed, Papa— from your heartfelt “Well hellooo, Beautiful!” that you answered every phone call with, to that unforgettable sparkle in your bright blue eyes, to the way you effortlessly made friends & impacted lives everywhere you went. Thanks for being such an encourager and teaching me that the smallest, thoughtful actions can make the biggest difference. You were truly one of a kind ?? give Gram the biggest hug from us & enjoy those birthday celebrations up there. We love you, always!
