Born on October 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Peter and Eleanore (Lambries) Lampada. Peter attended Roosevelt and St. Mary’s Grade Schools and Bradford High School and later received his GED from the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
On November 2, 1957, he was united in marriage to Alice Lou Bosman. Their union was blessed with 63 years of marriage and five children.
From 1955 until 1957, Peter proudly served our country in the United States Army Signal Corps as a SP3 (T), at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Peter was employed with Wisconsin Natural Gas Company/We Energies from 1958 until 1999, retiring as a Gas Distribution Inspector. He also worked nights as a baker at Paielli’s Bakery from 1965 to 1976.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the EAA. He was also a past member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 12005 and Wisconsin Jaguars Ltd.
Peter was very talented and skilled at creating works of art with oil painting and woodworking. He enjoyed rebuilding classic cars from the ground up – body work and paint, rebuilt engines and refinished interiors, including sewing the upholstery for the seats. He was able to repair and build most anything and was truly an all-around handyman. He also loved to cook, especially Italian dishes. He was a very kind, thoughtful and loving person, with a great sense of humor and his family considered him to be the greatest husband, father and grandfather ever.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Lampada; his children, Jane (Mark) Reidenbach, Laurie (Louis) Palermo, Joseph (Diane) Lampada, Steven (Lisa) Lampada and Phillip (Dawn) Lampada; his grandchildren, Peter, Katie and Michael Palermo, Heather (Tom) Ringdahl, Brittany (Caleb) Oakley, Dr. Andrew (Dr. Laura Bond) Reidenbach, Jacob, Hannah, Riley and Grace Lampada; his great grandchildren, Joseph and Lee Ann Ringdahl; his siblings, James (Joan) Lampada, Michael (Debbie) Lampada, Maria Lampada and Jean Wertz; and his aunt, Camille Engdahl.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his infant brother, Joseph David Lampada.
