Pauline E. Thompkins, age 79, formerly of Kenosha, late of Racine, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan- St. Mary’s Hospital, Racine.
Born on June 18, 1935, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Louise (Patton) Posey. She attended schools in Kenosha, was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford and also received an Associate’s Degree from Gateway Technical College.
On September 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to William C. Thompkins, Jr. They were blessed with eight sons and 45 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 31, 1999.
Pauline was employed for over 20 years with ATC Leasing as a clerical supervisor, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of Fellowship of Christian Believers in Racine, selflessly volunteered her time with various civic organizations, enjoyed traveling and taking casino trips with family and friends.
Pauline will be deeply missed by her eight sons, William C. “Billy” (Nadine) III, Arthur, Michael K. (Renea), Donald K., Anthony L., David W. (Kathy), Timothy A. (Lourdes) and Eric Thompkins; her four brothers, Louis (Marian), Walter (June), Melvin (Luveen) and Buddy Posey; three sisters, Jeanie Chamberlain, Juanita Hadley and Margaret Turner; 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew and four sisters, Louise, Deloris, Melvennia and Beverly.
Service Date April 15, 2015
Home Going Service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Fellowship of Christian Believers, 703 Washington Ave., Racine. Interment will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
