Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintPaul D. Burlingham, age 88, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 22, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born in Kenosha on October 2, 1928, a son of the late Ernest and Elfrieda (Russo) Burlingham.
From 1945 to 1952, seeing action in both WWII and the Korean War, Paul honorably served as a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division. He proudly received the Paratrooper and Army Medic Commendations.
On September 16, 1950, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ann Albano.
For many years, Paul was employed in Maintenance and as an Armed Security Guard with Brown National Bank. He also was employed in maintenance with Lakeside Towers.
He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was previously a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church where he had served as an usher.
Paul was a model airplane builder, avid golfer and golfsmith. Paul had created countless sets of clubs for family and friends. He was ecstatic when he made his hole-in-one in September, 1982.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ann Burlingham; and many, many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Burlingham, and three sisters, Alberta Pinsonnault, Josephine Fox and Eleanor Scalzo.
Paul’s family would like to express their gratitude to, Linda Ingram, Rita Gregory, Dr. Ridrigo Mata, Dr. Anna Silenzi, and Dr. Gladys Hollant for the love and care they gave to Paul.
Service Date July 28, 2017
Funeral services honoring Paul’s life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7400 block of 39th Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
