Born in Concordia, MO on August 15, 1946, Patrick was the son of the late Ervin and Mariam Martens.
He was baptized, attended grade school and was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia, MO. Afterwards, Patrick attended Concordia High School and graduated from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO.
Patrick enlisted in the Army as a Military Police Specialist of the 1139th MP Company based in Pleasant Hills, MO and later was employed with Western Electric, Oppenheimer Industries, Farmland Industries, PAX-TV and WB62 in producing and directing such television shows and TV Talent Hour in Kansas City, MO.
He was known to many as a kind and gentle person and will be remembered as a loving husband and brother. Patrick is survived by his wife, Susan Merritt of Kenosha, WI, and his brother Michael (Bonnie) Martens of Blue Springs, MO.
Funeral services honoring Patrick’s life will be held privately.
