Born in Kenosha, WI on October 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Leutritz) Last. She was a graduate of Algona High School.
On October 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to James Ostrum in Mankato, MN. Their union was blessed with 62 years of marriage and three children.
Patricia was employed with Catholic Social Services a place that provides a safe temporary home for newborn babies over a period of 15 years. At times, she cared for 3 babies awaiting adoption. Patricia was a snowbird living in Florida for the winter and spending the summer in Elkhorn, WI. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, loved gambling, camping and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, James Ostrum; her children, Christine (John) McQuestion, Mike (Laura) Ostrum and Jeff (Tammy) Ostrum; her grandchildren, Dana, TJ, Alyssa, Joshua, Crystal and Ethan; her great grandchildren, Weston, Brantley, Luella, Ryker, Nolan and Josie; her sister, Margaret “Peggy” Swartz.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, James and Art; and her beloved dog, Willie.

SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home
Funeral services honoring Patricia’s life will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, only 50 people will be permitted to enter the funeral home at one time. For the safety of our guests, you may be asked to wait outside. Social distancing will be maintained and those in attendance are required to wear a face covering. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
