Pat was born on March 25th, 1949, in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Bill and Lorraine Parker. Pat was a most wonderful and loving husband to Mary Lynne Woodbury-Parker and a good and loyal father to his surviving children, Kurt (Heather) Parker, Sebastian Patric Parker and Arlinda Parker. He is survived by his grandchildren, Daniel, Savanah, Holly, Gabriel and Sophia. Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Bourdeau and his stepfather, Wallace Bourdeau, who raised Pat as his own son, and his only sibling, Michael Parker.
Pat was a devoted Christian man who tried every day to live his faith through words and acts of kindness. He was a gentle soul and was always ready to help a friend in need. He was charitable but never liked to speak about his acts of goodwill, as he said ‘’It was between him and God’’. His life’s passions were fishing on Lake Norfork in Mountain Home and Pine Lake in Hiles, WI., hunting, woodworking, pen making and playing pool. He was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and never missed a game.
Pat served in the Army during the Vietnam War on the DMZ in Korea. He was proud to have served his country and remained a patriot until the end. Pat served in the past as Commander of the VFW Post 3246 in Mountain Home and also served for many years as its Chaplain. Special thanks to all that supported him throughout his final journey: Rick Biddle, Mike and Rose Dunn, Jimmy and LaWanda Phillips, Josh Willard, Ronnie Young, Richard McClellen, Jeff and Jen Miller, Douglas Pauschert, Ethel Merriman, and all of his friends and comrades at the VFW. He had acquired so many good friends throughout his life that there are too many to mention. Pat was delighted to reconnect with his Army buddies through social media. Pat will surely be missed by his wife Mary and her family, Wes and Cheryl Ladwig, Paul and Lezliy Woodbury and Ed and Laura Maccari.
His wife Mary would like to extend her heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Clary and staff at North Central Arkansas Medical Associates and Highlands Oncology for the wonderful care they provided. Pat will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. He lived a life worth living filled with loyalty, kindness, care and compassion. Pat will live on in our hearts forever. “We don’t have problems, we have opportunities to excel.’’ Pat Parker
Arrangements are under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
A private memorial service in Kenosha, Wisconsin for Pat will be planned for a later date.
Inurnment will be held in St. George Cemetery in Kenosha.
