My name is Pastor Jamie Morgan. I pastor an AG church in NJ (LifeIsHere.org) and was on both the National Prayer Committee as well as the Assemblies of God Prayer Committe with your father. There are defining moments, both in life and in the ministry, and reading your father's book, The Jesus Sensitive Church, was one of them. I had never heard of your father, and as a brand new pastor many years ago I was perusing Amazon for "pastoring" books. It was then I "stumbled upon" (aka had a divine appt with) To be honest, because I was brand new to pastoring and looking for guidance, my church could have either gone the "seeker sensitive" route, or the "Jesus sensitive" route. Reading Ron's book sent my church on a Scriptural, Holy Spirit-led trajectory, rather than a man pleasing, fleshly path. The influence his book had on my life and church remains to this day. Years later, after finding out the heart that I had for prayer, Ron recommended me as a member to the National Prayer Committee, which then led to my assignment on the Assemblies of God Prayer Committee. It was important for me that you knew how your husband, father, and grandfather affected this pastor and her church in NJ as I know he did countless other people, churches, ministries, etc. around the world. Millie and I were privileged to have known Pastor Ron for many years as a friend and brother. He has enriched our lives by his books, his Solemn Assemblies, his prayer life, and his wit. May God uphold his family during the weeks and months ahead.
