Olga was born in Kenosha on September 8, 1923 to the late Jordan and Angeline Tomas. She was united in marriage to Walter Laba on January 25, 1947.
Olga had been employed as a waitress and then later with American Motors until her retirement in 1975. Olga then decided to attend Gateway Technical College where she proudly earned her GED.
Olga was a charter member of the acapella group “The Sweet Adelines”. She was a Girl Scout leader, who enjoyed teaching cooking and sewing. As a proud homemaker, Olga also enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, and other crafts.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 70 years, Walter; two children, Thom Laba and Charlene Laba; two grandchildren, Tara (Steve) Waters and Rianne (Louis Struble) Esquivel; and three great-grandchildren, Collin, Caleb, and Charlie.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary in 1989 and a sister, Emma Tomas in 2009.
Service Date July 8, 2017
Funeral services honoring Olga’s life will take place at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI, on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Casimir Cemetery.
