Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintOlga “Jean” Zak, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Home and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on December 29, 1924, in Kenosha and was the daughter of the late Victor and Olga Ludwig. She attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On April 12, 1947, she married Eugene Zak. Olga was a homemaker for her family and after her children were grown, she worked at the Brown National Bank. Olga and Eugene were married for 51 years. Sadly, Eugene passed away in 1998.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a former member of the Kenosha Youth Foundation and the Kenosha Twins Club. Olga was a very sweet woman who enjoyed long walks.
Olga is survived by her children, Jaymes (Michael McMillan) Zak, Gary (Darlene) Zak and Donald (Carol) Zak; her grandchildren, Lauren (Trevor) Newton and Adam Zak; a great-grandchild, Dashel Newton; a brother Joseph Ludwig and many niece and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Eugene, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Victor Ludwig, Anne Fetzer, Martha Ludwig, Max Ludwig, Johnny Ludwig and Emma Stone.
Service Date April 27, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Olga’s life will be held Friday, April 27, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 5100 22nd Ave. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
