Neil was born in Beloit on March 1, 1963, to the late George and Naomi (Nielsen) Skokut.
On January 24, 1987, he was united in marriage to Heidi May Heffel at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Neil proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1985-1989. He had various occupations throughout the years, including Jones Lang LaSalle, where he worked in distribution, and Kerry Seasonings where he was employed as the Maintenance Manager.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 30 years, Heidi; his daughter, Cassandra (Matthew) Couglin; a son, Anthony (Amanda Matson) Skokut; his granddaughter, Adelein May Coughlin; a sister, Cecelia (Carl) Becker; his brother, Gregory (Bonita) Skokut; father-in-law, Donald Heffel; four sisters-in-law, Carol (Darryl) Rosmait, Laura (Charles) Nowakowski, Velma (Haji) Souri, Kristi (James) Regner; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ruby Heffel and a niece, Natalie Walker.
Service Date May 8, 2017
Interment with full military honors will be held in Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, May 9th at 12 noon.
