Nate was born on September 21, 1950 in Schlater, Mississippi, to the union of Henry and Sammie Lee Wright.
On March 19, 1977, he married Carol Ann Clanton, and three children were born to that union: Nathaniel Jr, Delores and BillyDee.
Nate moved to Chicago Illinois in 1968.
Nate was a truck driver and drove 18 wheelers for many years, working for various companies. Nate was a great mechanic and could fix any vehicle.
Nate loved fishing and traveling. He was well known for his unique sense of humor and jive talking. He loved his children.
Nate leaves to cherish his memory, Carol Ann of Kenosha, WI; two sons, Nathaniel Jr. of Janesville, WI and BillyDee (Mandi) Clanton of Kenosha WI; one daughter, Delores Clanton of Harvey, IL; two sisters, Mabell Elliott of Nashville, TN and Mary Wright of Kenosha, WI; one brother, Henry (Memory) Wright of Kenosha, WI; eleven grandchildren, Kamisha, Nathaniel III, Shaquille, Catera, Houston, Dillion, Ah’billynea, BillyDee, BilliamDee, Ashley and Jahare; one great-grandchild, Kamari and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Service Date May 7, 2019
Funeral Services honoring Nathaniel’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.
