Nancy was born in Wausau, WI on November 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Clarence and Abigail (Obey) Voeltzke. She attended Wausau schools.
On March 2, 1957 she was united in marriage to Alfred A. Principe. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2011.
Nancy was a proud and active Kenoshan, having served her community as an Alderperson for a term and had served as the Kenosha County Clerk for ten years. She had served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Brookside Care Center for twenty years.
Her casino outings, Las Vegas trips with her family, spending time with family and friends, and singing and dancing were among the many things that Nancy enjoyed.
Nancy was an active and proud member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic church and sang in the church choir for many years.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Anna (John) Frenner, Lori (Steve) Ruhle, and Jeff (Patti) Principe; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Andy) Johnson, Rachel Frenner, Sarah (Joe) Higgins, Alex (Lauren) Ruhle, Matthew Ruhle, JD (Danielle) Príncipe, Jentry (Dustin) Durfee and great granddaughter Reese Principe.
Thank you to the entire staff at Brookside for the love and compassion they showed Nancy and a special thank you to Dr. Santilukka and his staff for the care they provided her.
Service Date July 7, 2016
Funeral services honoring Nancy’s life will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 beginning with a prayer service at 9:15 a.m. at the Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave.,Kenosha, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, corner of 22nd Ave. and 45th Street, Kenosha. Private interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove.
