Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintNancy L. Lesniak, age 73 of Pleasant Prairie died peacefully at Hospice House – Pleasant Prairie on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, with her family by her side.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha she was born on May 1, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Robert and June (Callow) Torrey. She attended local schools and was a 1959 graduate from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On June 9, 1972 in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to James Lesniak. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2000.
Nancy was a self-employed accountant for over 30 years.
She was a member of Kenosha Women of the Moose Chapter #155, the Art Association of Kenosha and the Mensa Society. Nancy was an avid golfer, pool player and motorcycle rider with her husband, James. She enjoyed bowling, playing the piano, reading, crocheting, embroidery and needlepoint and painter. Nancy loved to cook and bake cakes; especially wedding and birthday cakes.
Nancy will be remembered by her three children, Karen (Allen) McDowell, Kellie Hall and James Lesniak; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Bose, James Kutz, Michael (Amanda Muehlnickel) Rauguth, Rachael Kumorkiewicz, Matthew and Ryan Lesniak, Michael and Ken McDowell and Robert Foster; a great grandson, Cameron Kumorkiewicz; her brother, Robert (Jill) Moss; her sisters, Bobbie Licht and Jackie (Robert) Stalker; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy and Jan; and her son-in-law, Scott.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance, Inc. and Jill Zoet for the exceptional care they provided to Nancy.
