Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintMildred M. “Millie” Baltes, age 97, currently of Dousman, WI, died peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Azura Memory Care of Kenosha.
Born in Kenosha on March 21, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Melchion and Marion (Sungailikis) Tubelis. She attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and graduated in 1941 from Mary D. Bradford High School. Millie continued her education and received her degree from the Business College of Business and Commerce.
On September 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Carl E. Baltes. Sadly, after 31 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on February 27, 1973.
She was employed as a representative for over 20 years with the Social Security Administration.
Millie was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed managing the kitchen at St. Peter’s during their yearly festivals. She also was a volunteer poll worker.
She liked to garden and read and was a talented knitter.
Millie will be remembered by her two children, Wayne Baltes of Kenosha and Mary (Raud) Wilke of Dousman; her four grandchildren, Laura (Mark) Moddes, Rachael (Aaron) Kelly, Rebecca (David) Rucinski and Jennifer (James) Bezotte; ten great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Jackie Baltes.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carl, she was preceded in death by her loving son, Michael Baltes; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Baltes; her brother, Anthony Stulgaitus; and grandson, James Baltes.
Service Date February 21, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Millie’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.
