Born in Kenosha on June 24, 1939, he was the son of the late Michael and Maudie (Mercer) Salerno.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, Michael attended local schools.
He was employed with FAMCO, American Motors Corporation and retired from the Kenosha News.
Michael had a happy disposition and was a people person. He was blessed with the ability to talk to others he knew and those he didn’t know. Michael had a passion for animals and sports. He was a collector of sports memorabilia.
Michael will be deeply missed by his sister, Betty Salerno.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Millard Salerno and many aunts and uncles.
Service Date April 10, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Michael’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Private interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
