He was born on May 20, 1964 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to the late Mary Lynn (Schulte) and James Ryan. Michael attended local Kenosha schools before beginning his life-long career at the Kenosha Achievement Center.
Michael actively participated in the Special Olympics, which his father Jim helped found in Kenosha. One of Michael’s greatest accomplishments was carrying the Special Olympics Torch in the opening ceremony.
Michael was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and football. Michael could make anyone laugh and brought much joy to all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his siblings, Thomas (Jane) Dietman, Patrick (Lynda) Ryan, Sean (Molly) Ryan, Maureen (James) Giroux. Survivors also include his nieces and nephews; Mathew Dietman, Kathryn Dietman, Kristin (Nate) Raulin, Michael (Rebecca) Ryan, Kevin (Rebecca) Ryan, Catharine Ryan, Annemarie (Andrew) Meier, Sarah Ryan, Conor Giroux, and Maggie Giroux, Great niece and nephews Owen Raulin, Everett Raulin, Arden Raulin and Jax Dietman.
Service Date May 17, 2024
Funeral services honoring Michael’s life were held privately.
