Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintMichael J. Haun, age 70, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at his residence.
Born on October 9, 1946, in Des Moines, IA, he was the son of the late Kermit and Elsie (Brechwald) Haun.
He attended schools in Iowa and was a graduate of Drake University.
On June 22, 1968, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mike was united in marriage to Barbara “Bobbi” Olson, the daughter of the late Richard and Billie Olson.
Mike served his country in the Iowa National Guard from 1968 until 1974.
From 1970 until 1973, Mike was employed with Johnson & Johnson before joining Abbott Laboratories. Over the next 32 years, he held a number of management positions before being appointed one of the Transition Directors, creating the spin-off of Hospira in 2004. Mike retired from Hospira in 2005 as a Quality Director.
He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, was an avid fisherman; fishing with his buddies on Lake Vermilion in Minnesota and enjoyed shooting pool and having beers with his friends and family.
Mike is survived by his wife, Bobbi; their three sons, Todd (Becky), Scott and Casey (Amy) Haun; their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill and a brother, Larry.
Service Date November 8, 2016
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2020-91st Street. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for Mass. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
