Dear Milton, Sheryl, Douglas Dean and extended family I am so sorry for the loss of Michael following so closely on the heels of Sheryl's husband Bob. Both men contributed greatly to Kenosha when they lived there but Michael was more vocal about it! ( I remember reading his Voice of the People letters). Sending healing thoughts your way with many memories of growing up on 31st Avenue with your delightful Grandmother and your Mom's distinctive laughter. I still think of the Fruit Market whenever I visit The Spot.

I was fortunate enough to meet Mike and Wendy at Yoga and Friends. Mike was such a caring person. Always had a smile on his face and positive attitude. It was nice to chat with him over coffee after yoga on Fridays. Dave regrets not getting to know him better. We will remember your kind and gentle personality. Mike wrote great articles in the VOP of the Kenosha News. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of having Mike as a teacher. Even now over 25 years later it only feels right to call him Mr. Dean. Everyone has a teacher who truly made an impact in their life. Well I'd like to think they do anyway. I know I'm not alone in saying Mr. Dean was that teacher for me. Middle school is a weird time in your life and he just understood how to relate to us. I'm sure the rest of the Franklin students from the Class of 2000 would agree. It saddens me to hear of his passing. It was a true privilege to have had him as a teacher and a friend. He will surely be missed by many. Jason P Pearson

Mike will be missed by many! I certainly enjoyed my time practicing yoga with him, working on civic causes together, reading his letters to the editor in the Kenosha News, attending our exciting Harbor Park board meetings and he even cat sat for me many years ago. Mike was always in a positive mood and had a gentle soul. You were a pleasure to know my friend!!!!

Michael will be missed by so many. What a great human being! I will miss our many chats at Common Grounds and the many laughs we shared! We will miss him being a part of the Bradford Alumni Association Board; his assistance on awarding many Bradford senior student scholarships over the years was greatly appreciated. RIP.
