Michael was born in Kenosha on December 12, 1920 to the late Frank and Mary (Ricchio) Pellegrino. On November 18, 1967, he was united in marriage to Irene Cundari.
He was employed at Simmons Company for 19 years and then later became a custodian for Jane Vernon Elementary School for many years until his retirement in 1980.
Michael was passionate about gardening and took meticulous care of his yard, spending many hours outside anytime the weather was warm. He also loved football and could not only discuss statistics of the Green Bay Packers – his favorite team – but also many other NFL teams and former players. He enjoyed shopping but, above all, he had a kind heart and would help others in their time of need.
Michael will be dearly missed by his wife of 51 years, Irene; his sister, Arlene Ritacca; cousins, Mary Jane Haggard-Lippert, Ruth Herrmann, and Joyce Niccolazi; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, John and Joseph Pellegrino.
Funeral services honoring Michael’s life were held privately. Entombment took place in All Saints Mausoleum.
